Laser Facial Resurfacing & Scar Treatment
Cutting-Edge Skin Treatments Backed by Decades of Innovation
At our clinic, we have utilised numerous methods of skin rejuvenation over the last three decades. These include chemical peels, microdermabrasion, skin needling, coblation, thermage, IPL (Intense Pulsed Light), vascular lasers, diode lasers, ablative, and non-ablative lasers. Carbon Dioxide (CO2) lasers have always been the gold standard, and we have utilised the Lumenis UltraPulse fractionated CO2 platform successfully over the last 20 years. It still remains an excellent workhorse with great results, albeit with prolonged healing.
In 2024 Acclaro UltraClear Erbium-Doped cold fibre 2910nm laser was introduced into Australia.
Currently, UltraClear Laser has superceded all technologies in ablative skin resurfacing. The reason for this is that the laser physics and versatility of the UltraClear lend it to be adaptive to all ablative resurfacing requirements. This means that the laser settings can be programmed to the specific needs of the patients, ranging from a lunch-time treatment to fully ablative with coagulation, matching the aggressive CO2 results. UltraClear Coring mode is a unique and additional modality that can also provide non-surgical facelifting.
We believe that UltraClear fractionated laser treatments, together with Vascular Lasers (Cutera Excel V+ 532/1064nm) and a good skin care regimen, are the preferred modality of choice and the best options for optimal skin rejuvenation and non-surgical facelifting.

Cutera Excel V+ Vascular-Pigment Laser

Long-Pulsed Nd:Yag Laser
This laser is particularly useful in treating broken capillaries or spider veins. Some discomfort is felt during treatment, like a snapping sensation on the skin. There is no crusting of the skin with treatment; however, bruising or swelling may feature depending on skin sensitivity. Multiple treatments may be required.
Lumenis UltraPulse Encore
At Dr Evans’ clinic in Miranda, we have chosen to use an ablative Lumenis UltraPulse Encore carbon dioxide laser over the years. The advantages of the UltraPulse Encore skin resurfacing laser are that treatment can be given in a single session, and the laser energies can be adjusted to the patient’s requirements/requests. As such, this fractional laser is a very useful adjunctive laser for facelift or blepharoplasty surgery, and also useful for shaving or cutting out skin lesions.
The Laser encompasses both ActiveFx and DeepFx treatments to provide TotalFX treatment – Dr Evans is proud to be the amongst the first clinics in Australia to provide this most advanced form of fractional laser skin resurfacing.
Lumenis UltraPulse Encore carbon dioxide laser skin resurfacing has been the “gold standard laser” for skin/collagen tightening and rejuvenation.
Lumenis SCAAR FX is an industry leading technology to allow for the effective treatment of scars. This treatment has only recently been introduced to Australia and we are now able to treat a variety of scars including hypertrophic scars, keloid scars, burn scars and stretch marks.
As leaders in laser skin treatments in Australia, we are proud to offer the latest in resurfacing technologies.
